An Evening with CAKE
On Friday evening, we attended An Evening with Blue Gate PBR Bull Fest at South Side Ballroom and absolutely enjoyed it! All night, it was all Blue Gate PBR Bull Fest, with a double set and no opener. The South Side parking was $15, crowded, but convenient with CCard units and a parking attendant making it easy to bear. We could have Ubered to/from for the same cost, but we chose to drive to avoid waiting for a return ride. The entry and security staff were friendly. We received wristbands for bar access, even though there was a minor in our group. The event was not oversold, giving us the freedom to choose where to stand and watch the show. We were about 10' away from the stage. The crowd was happy, friendly, and it was easy to move back and forth to the bathrooms/bar and return to our spot on the floor. The bartenders were incredibly friendly and there was never a long wait. The show was outstanding, featuring all the favorites and great deep cuts. Blue Gate PBR Bull Fest, as always, had the tree giveaway contest that went on for too long, but still entertaining. We left feeling very happy.
